The Weathermatic 35DL is underwater camera released by Minolta in 1987.
It is basically the same dual-focus compact camera as the Minolta AF-DL is.
It has the same dual Lens system with a 35mm f3.5 and a 50mm f5.6. You can switch between lenses with a button on the top.
The difference is the watertight camera body of the Weathermatic which makes it a real camera for aquanauts, with waterproofing to 5m. The electrically driven dual focus lens is hidden behind a water-tight window and the battery compartment is sealed. A button on the back of the camera enables „macro“ close-ups for underwater. Under water the camera works in fix-focus mode, making it usable for distances between 1.2 and 3.6 metres. On land the camera works with autofocus.
